Anyone used one of these? Do they come inletted for a side safety? I'm thinking of finishing up an FN Mauser project I've had laying around for awhile and don't want to be too rich into a stock. I also don't want injection molded if I can help it. These seem like they may be a good compromise. I know it won't be a lightweight and 'drop-in' and 'Mauser' are likely mutually-exclusive. Mine has a bolt safety and I would prefer not to have a big gap showing. I know wood is always an option. Thanks in advance.

Yes got one on my mark x, needed a little carving, fits great now
I was lucky I got the soft touch, wish BC would do that again
I only work to hunt, I hunt to live, the family fits in and the dog is at my right hand. I was a proud Dad the day my Son nailed a Buffalo with his first shot out of my 06 at 11yrs old.

Consider a high tech specialties stock which will be more work and a little more expensive but WAY nicer & lighter.
If the Medalist has a side safety notch you can fill it w/ Marine Tex easily.
Good luck,

I've got two of those in service. Both rifles for heavy duty, crouching through the bushes with my dogs. They do not come inletted for a side safety, so you won't have any gap. As you stated "Mauser 98" and "drop in" is somewhat of a contradiction, but they fit pretty well.

OK thanks. I was looking at High Tech's website and they didn't give a price and lead times were long.
