I'm using 73 grains of Retumbo and the 168 NABLR sparked by a WLRM for 2975 ft/sec MV. I got some 175 grain NABLR and I'd like to see how they fly using the same powder.

Anyone have some Quickload info for a Tikka T3 (24 3/8" barrel)?

Thanks,

P

Looks like 72.5 is the max.

Thanks for the info!

Hello P

If I were you, I would load a few at lower powder charges, checking PSI in your rifle.
Wish you luck.

I expect that load to generate 2800-2850fps.

I appreciate the concern. I loaded 4 different charges, each .5 grain lower. I just didn't take a pic of them.

Why so low? I'm about 18 ft/sec under Quickload's projection for the 168 grain Retumbo load. I figure I should be close to 2900, if not a smidge over.

Interested in seeing how you do Pharm. That would be an excellent combo if the accuracy holds up like the 168 does. Can't wait to see how it works.

Litz monkeyed with the BC, I'd hang my hat on his numbers. And lower in a 1:9 for the 175's most likely.

I am getting 2950-2975 fops with my 26" Shilen barrel with the 175 ABLR and IMR7828ssc. I am loaded up to 64.5 grains. No pressure yet. Also, loading 168 ABLR with Retumbo with terrific accuracy at 69.5 grains. Haven't chronied yet, but similar loads with 160 cub ones yield 3050 ish.

Have you considered RE 33? It was impressive when I tested it in my 7 mags with the 175 Partition and Interlock.

I am loading the 175 ABLR, 3.450 COL (rifle throated) 25"Lilja 3 groove.
Using 69gr H1000 & Rem 9 1/2M primer. Getting 2950 easy extraction and now on 8 loads with my test Hornandy brass.
.5-.7" be interesting to see what quick load says. smile
