The need to pander to the base to show up on the fundraising radar is what drives this "Show". The GOP nominating process has become a side show and all of this goes back to the Republican national office holding back the "Varsity" in 2008 because the economy was in such bad shape. I believe the movers and shakers in the GOP felt the DEMs would own the 2008 economy and the GOP would sweep in in 2012 to rescue the country. We all know how well that worked out. That is what brought the "Clown Show" to town and now the GOP is stuck with the "Crazy Train".


If 2016 plays out (and I am sure it will) anything like the 2012 primary process it will be a walk through for the DEMS, regardless who they put up.
