I am in need of valuations of sporting goods (the kind we use to harvest game). Is the blue book hard copy and cd rom worth the cost. Does anyone have experience with ipad app??

I've always found the blue book to be a decent guide on makes, models, and variations and very little help on actual market value. I go to completed gunbroker auctions for actual market value.
Give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above. Don't fence me in.

Geographical location as well as culture can influence street price despite Blue Book valuations.

All of the "gun value" books are worthless for determining gun values.

Tom aka rinkydink I personally like it very much and find it useful as a benchmark. Of course, like pricing cars or houses, you have to compare with other sources to get the full picture since often you can do better, either up of down, in particular situations.
