Even small lots to try in a Whelen. Please PM what you have and what you need for them. Thanks.

What's a "small lot"? 10?
Getting my Whelen within the next week or two. May be able to part with a few older Horny 250 spires. Need to see how many really have. My plan was to work up with these and then swith over the to 250 NP.

I have found the sierra 225 btsp to be the best bullet for my 700 classic 35 whelen.

The 225grn sierra was designed for the whelen. They work great. I think midway or midsouth has them. They have been hard to get so snag some when you can.

Well, those are the only one's I've tried so far. Like to try some 225s, this or that. Ten or twelve or 21.....

I have found the 225 Sierra GK to be one of the most accurate bullets in several bolt and pump action Remingtons in both .35Whelen and .358Winchester. I think you will easily find an accurate load with either IMR4064 or RL-15 near the top end with that bullet. And they are about half the cost of the 225 Partitions. My supply of any and all 225's is quite low or I would gladly send you some to try. The Speer 220 FT is also a good, accurate bullet--it's just not sexy looking.

Edit: I found some reasonable options online at a new place... Will stick with 250s and keep working on it. Thanks all.
How about those Speer 250 Hot Cores, they're $0.50 each, which I like? I just noticed I changed primers on my last trial of the Hornady 250 IL, so I should likely try them some more. They got pretty buggered up in the mag box though...

The 250 Speers are known for being accurate and deadly in the Whelen for darn near any game. A little much for deer but they work! Try some of the 200 & 225 Accubonds, too. They are more reasonably priced than the Partitions and usually can be found locally or on-line. The 225's are a good 'do all' bullet for the Whelen. Check Nosler's: shootersproshop.com for seconds/blemished bullets. Very often you will not be able to tell the seconds from the boxed retail versions.
