I have not flown with this scope so the baggage handling goons have never plyed their skills. It has always been transported in a softsided case in vehicles. Never dropped or abused.
It was used on one Alaskan adventure--mostly siteseeing.
It was carried one day on a Colorado elk hunt but was used only one afternoon. The guide had purchased brand X and could not get over his ego and use my Swarovski.

No it is NOT the HD. A professional who deals in these says for an HD to be better for the human eye, he would, using his naked eye, need to be able to determine which sex a flea is across the room.
I have a softsided case and window mount available only to the purchaser of the spotter. I have a tripod that is not of the same quality as the spotter but is functional, but should be always held when fully extended to prevent toppling. It is available to the purchaser of the spotter if so desired.
