Get over here......... might even save you a beer.

No fish, but the consulation prize ain't too bad. One of the best days I've ever been crabbing, one haul and it was over (limit) and they are some pigs.

As one who ate (and thoroughly enjoyed) a lobster for dinner tonight, I must say that those crabs are quite something (I love crab as well).

But I wonder who in the world was the first person to pull up a crab out of the water and think, "Yum! I want to EAT that!" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The picture with the kids and the crabs is adorable...

Spike, that is cool. I am looking forward to going myself. The weekend of the 9th we are going to see the inlaws in Portland. My father-in-law is a guide on the Columbia and he is going to take us crabbing. This will be a first for a Rocky Mountain boy. I am thinking my 2 and 4 year olds will have a blast.

I hope its a hoot. I enjoy going to the city to visit, mostly cause I get to go fishing with him. The oversize stugeon are a blast and crabbing looks like fun. It better be fun cause I am skipping a weekend of bowhunting wapiti to go.

We ate some of our finest meals on Karluk Lake after Will flew over to Olga Bay (in the line of duty, of course!) and fetched some fresh crabs. I've enjoyed Chesapeake Bay crabs prime grub but I think that Alaskan crabs are even better.

It was a Spur Of The Moment Mission.

I don't think we had a camera onboard,at least I know I didn't?

Was more concerned about remembering my 10/22,a coupla bricks of ammo and six 25rd SteelLips.....................(grin)
