Buddy of mine just picked one up. the Bluing is 85-90% and the nicest blue-black I've ever seen. Full length bedded in a nice piece of walnut(Rollover cheek piece)...only a 22 1/2" barrel though...anyway, he wants a gloss scope to top it with. Local store still has a pair of USA made Burris FF-II 3-9x40's in stock...would that be a good choice???(I told him that I would have done a 6x36 FX-II).

I don't always shoot Mausers, but when I do...I prefer VZ-24s.

I told him about that one already, I think he wants a 3-9x40...but I know he's considering the 6x42(he sure liked the one on my .270 when I showed it to him.).
