Just ordered a S&W M&P .357 Sig police trade in for $299. It is supposed to have good night sights and 90%+ condition with mainly holster wear. I also ordered a .40 S&W barrel from Brownells and some extra mags. I ordered an alien gear holster to try out also. I am thinking I might need to order a .40 to 9mm conversion barrel and 9mm mags. Anyone shooting the full size M&P? Have any of you used the Storm Lake conversion barrel? I have read mixed reviews and some just use a stock 9mm barrel.

I just received a Storm Lake 40 to 9 conversion barrel for my full size M&P, but I haven't tried it yet. I am waiting on some 9mm mags I ordered. It appears to lock up tightly. If it shoots as good as it looks, I'll be very happy.

I have never owned a M&P in .357 SIG but if you check out the website WEAPONSMAN.com they had an entry on March 30,2015 about all the problems with the .357 SIG model.
North Carolina Highway Patrol dumped them in 2013 because of numerous issues and Texas DPS dumped them in early 2014.There is also an article about the .357 M&P in Truth about Guns entry -April 11,2014.
This is all second hand info but to me it seems like a lot of incidents to discount Internet rumors. Good luck....

Thanks. I have read a lot of them. The .40 barrel will get a lot of use. There are still a bunch of agencies that are happy with theirs.

I had one and it work great, but accuracy in mine was not great. Good enough for a defensive pistol. But I wanted more. Erich

My brother is a Trooper and he said that the Sig rep promised that they would switch back once they had the Smith version for a while. They did have some serious issues with the Smith but he said that he actually shoots it better than the Sig.

Picked it up yesterday and it looks good. I gave the outside a quick cleaning and ran a rag down the barrel and it looks good as new. It came with a 15 round mag and the night sights have plenty of glow. Though it is not really a big deal the only issue was the ad said it would come in either a blue or black case but mine came in a box. I emailed the seller and he apologized and said he would send me one. I ordered a S&W .40 barrel from Brownell's that should arrive today and hopefully I can get to the range and give both barrels a workout. I also ordered some Talon grips for it

We were issued Glock 31, 357 Sigs. With the option of carrying personally owned Sig p226 357s. It took me a while to get used to the Da/Sa trigger of the Sig but ultimately I shot it better than the Glock
