Gauge doesn't matter as all shot size is the same whether from a .410 or a 10 gauge, only difference is range limitations with smaller gauges due to pattern densities from being fewer pellets in the shell. The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

Also an AR15 in .556. I once made a lucky wing shot on a Gobbler with my 30-30 94 Trapper that flew about 10 feet over the top of my head. Probably pure luck, though. Alabama Left handed had shoulder surgery in December .....killed one last weekend with 410 at 15 yards dead...no flop.....I normally hunt with Remington sp10...but not this year..... Men and Rivers are made crooked by the path of least resistance....!!!!!!!
