I've been entering for awhile, probably about the last 5 years. I've never been drawn, and don't know anyone that has. I still have my fingers crossed for this year...

Been putting in since the first year with no luck yet. I really wish they used some type of point system rather a random draw.

Put in every year and have not been drawn. Haven't checked to see when the results come out this year.
I remember reading several years ago in this forum where someone posted about their hunt. Can't remember who it was...

I've put in every year except one. I have drawn twice, cow rifle, and cow archery.

Made my donation as well. Got some sort of raffle tickets for a bull tag from the Kentucky Fish & Wildlife Federation. Might as give it a go...

Wish me first year luck. Hell, last year I pulled the ONLY nonresident Bison permit for Antelope Island, UT!

You have to apply for KY now? I miss the good old days, when you could get it mail order, in a plain brown wrapper.

Been putting in since the first year with no luck yet. I really wish they used some type of point system rather a random draw. Bite your tongue! Point systems, especially for tags this limited, are for the birds. Though I play the points game in many a state, IMO the fairest way is a complete random draw.

I was lucky enough to draw a cow tag in 2010. Applied again each year since, including this year. Pretty good herd over there. The drawing should be by the end of next week.

I've been applying since the start, no luck yet. It's a no brainer to put in for.

This is the 15th year of the Elk Lottery; my son has applied every year and has yet to be drawn. Maybe this year.............

Why do I catch myself checking KY website at least 3 times a day for the elk draw results? I know that getting drawn is almost impossible. I wish they would post up some results soon

No wonder you guys aren't drawing a tag. I found this.
Of the 38,935 hunters who applied for a 2014 Kentucky elk tag, 37,925 got the following message:
“You were not selected for an elk quota hunt this year. Thank you for applying. Good luck next year.”...
