OP Launchingrounds Campfire Regular L Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1,895 SW Washington	No compound in the holes. I took the scout bases off when I got it. Not sure I can find them now. But yes a rail would work. I have an extra 308 SS 20" bbl available to the buyer. With a normal scope mounted I doubt you see much if any of the scout holes.
