Obviously, a deal like this could have gone either way and worked out for the better. My main reason for posting it was to point out how things are handled differently in red and blue States. The mayor of Baltimore says "let'em loot...it's just property" and the mayor of Garland says "Sure you can have freedom of speech contest...we'll put SWAT on the roof.".

And then the organizers of said 'demonstration' pay for all the additional police officers and overtime required for the event.
