Looking for the old reamer. Mickey says he sold it to someone on the 'Fire. Anybody know who got it? I might need it again.

Have tried to find it myself to no avail. How about revitalizing your wildcat for us commoners.

Know nothing of the whereabouts of Mickey's reamer, but I know that Paul Marquart had a good one - made and mounted such a barrel for me many years ago before he passed. If you guys can find out who bought all of Paul's eguipment up in Prescott (heard that it was a guy in SE Arizona),the person may still have that reamer. Then again, hope you find Mickey's.

I believe the 338-375(338 Campfire) was based on the 375 Ruger case. I suspect the Marquart reamer was based on the 375 H&H?

There may be a nomenclature issue here. What reamer is being sought? Paul's was based on the .338 Win case, with .375 projectile. Works in a regular length action.

I think Ross (AZSHOOTER) has such a reamer.

Rick,
Dennis suggested I have this reamer. I have a Pacific tool and Gauge 7mm/375 Reamer not a 338/375. No altered shoulder position or angle, just necked down to 7mm.
I am about to rechamber my second barrel with it. After that if you want to borrow it Rick, I can send it to you. All you would have to do it run a 338 throating reamer to make it a 338/375.
FYI others interested in the 338/375 Ruger. A 338 RCM FL die works perfectly for necking down the 375 case to 338.Shoulder diameter and angle are identical. 338 RCM seating die would work for seating. A 375 Ruger FL die would work as a body taper/shoulder bump die.

Really.... as a .375 Ruger owner and .338 fan, this is a thing that makes you go Hmmmmm.

If a 338/37 ruger reamer or 338 Campfire reamer is unavailable, and as a newbie to wildcatting, --
I was wondering if a person could purchase a 338 Ruger Compact Magnum Hawkeye rifle and have the chamber re-cut with a 338RCM reamer that is pushed an extra 1/2" into the barrel?
Of course, the bolt-stop and magazine on the R77 Hawkeye would need adjusting, but if built on their standard action that should be a piece of cake. Any comments, suggestions?
