Well, I got my new dept finder/gps/downscan unit mounted on the boat. Had to take off the older unit to mount this one using most of the same holes including the little wire supporting clips. I learned a valuable lesson about working in low light. Make sure you replace ALL the screws you pull out, especially if they're located low on the transom. She was behaving pretty sluggish and took a long time to get up on plane when I took it out for a little fishing on Wednesday evening. What I didn't notice was just how much water there was in the boat. It's amazing how much water a 1/8" hole can let in in an hour or so. The bilge was full pretty much up to the floor.

Nice rig.
I would change the prop (different pitch) to get to your preferred trolling speed.
I highly recommend only to use rec gas in it, with Amsoil.
Good Luck trolling, Maybe see ya on "the bay" someday I just bought a lightly used 2000 Alumacraft 18 footer (needed different prop), and I am smoking the 'eyes right now. Sounds like sweet setup, Cooperfan. You're referring to Saginaw Bay, right? Yes, Saginaw Bay Headed up next Friday to the UP to fish their walleye opener on Little Bay De Noc

Good luck up there. Sounds like fun. Be sure to honk about 10 miles south of the Mackinaw bridge.

Bruin,
I like the looks of your boat and hope that it works out to be all you want from it.
Good luck, CT
