Just got two emails from my publisher. They've FINALLY started on my book. Of course they sent me a bunch of stuff they want me to do ASAP when I'll be at the Denver gun show next weekend. It'll be out early next year. He said it would be in their Spring catalog. I'll probably get 500 copies and start sending them out to you guys as soon as I get them. I'll keep you guys posted as things progress. David

Will you have a table in Denver? I'm going to be there and would like to meet you, if possible. Thanks!

I'll be set up at Denver next weekend. I'll have three display tables with my 41 1895's, 1899's and 99's plus a sales table where I'll be signing people up to be notified when the book is available. I'll also have some 303 ammo, a couple of Savages and a couple of Weatherby's for sale. I'll put all you guys on my notification list. If my publisher doesn't put it on Amazon I will. I'll have a website set up by then also. They will hopefully have it at Barnes & Noble also plus various gun museums and Cabela's.

That 500 copies will go fast, just from the members of this Forum. Will you be offering any type of a pre-publication price with payment now and delivery upon publication? I know my wife's calligraphy books do that frequently. I'm sure looking forward to it. Just wish we were going to have them to read during the looonnnnngg winter months here in Michigan. yooper

Yooper, is that "pre-publication price with payment now and delivery upon publication" something the publisher does or does the writer do it? At this point I don't know what the book will cost and my inclination is to not take orders until I have the books in hand. But then again coming up with all the money to buy the 500 copies might strain my budget a little so pre-payment would help with that. I was also hoping the book would be out late Summer or Fall. My early correspondence with the publisher indicated that it would be out less than a year after I submitted the manuscript to them in December. It apparently took them longer to finish up the books ahead of mine. Hopefully, they will get copies to me so that I can take them to Tulsa in April and Denver and the Ohio collectors shows in May 2016. When they do get them to me I'll be set up to send you guys your books immediately. I'll probably send them Fed-Ex or UPS. The post office has gotten really screwed up lately. Lightfoot sent me a lightfoot mount for one of my SRC's 2 1/2 weeks ago by Priority Mail. It got to Denver (450 miles from here) two weeks ago today. I got it today. I know you guys don't want to wait that long for your books once I have them in hand. Any comments on shipping will be greatly appreciated. Are there any plans for Savage Fest 2016 yet? I would also like to know about any other collector gun shows around the country. I am sure glad this thing looks like it's finally moving. David

Please include me on your list of purchasers, David.
As for a 2016 Fest, perhaps it's time again for an East Coast event?
