For Sale FN Mauser built by F. D. Wade on a commercial 3 digit magnum action. Built in 1958 and chambered for the powerful and versatile 35 Wade Magnum. It is similar to the 338 Winchester Magnum and can be formed from them. This is a one of one build and you won't get many chances to own such a gun. Very nice build very much like a Southgate Weatherby if they had made a Vanguard back then. Sporting a 23 inch barrel with 5 grooves I think is a Douglas and comes with Buehler safety and Jaeger trigger. Built with a very nice dark straight grain walnut stock. It has nice checkering but of a different pattern then most are used to seeing but works well with or without gloves. This is a hunting rifle and comes with a period correct Steel Weaver 6x scope. This one is very nice with only a small spot of freckles on the froward bell. I have had this scope back to the factory for a service. Nice and clear and even works well early and late in the day in low light. I have reloading dies, bullets, brass, and about 20 loaded rounds. Shoots very nice, easy to load for. I use a 338 load data as a starting point. I am getting 2670 fps for 200 grain bullets and I am not getting pressure signs. I loaded a couple 250 bullets with same powder charge and still no pressure signs. The 200 grain gives a trajectory the same as the 30/06 with 165 grain bullets! But you can still load 125 grain pistol bullets too! For sale for $850.00 plus shipping from Charlotte NC. If you search the Campfire forum you will find pictures of the rifle. Probably on par with the .358 Norma, which should mean 3100 fps with 200 grain bullets.
