Boat project update - been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest at work lately so working on the boat has been spotty. but I did get some info online. I been looking on the tinboats.net forum on the internet, lots of good tips there. here she is as we were stripping her down. Primered Painted, with my helper in the background did another coat today after work, going to polish the side rails and flip her and put her under the carport for the floor and seats hopefully this weekend. (fingers crossed we don't get a foot of snow)

Looking good Ryan.
I've been farting around with mine as well. Pulled the ancient Motorguide trolling motor off and put on a new Minnkota 50# power drive V2 and quick release plate. I'm going to put in some interior LED lighting, another locator in the front, 4 rod holders, battery charger, a bass style seat in the front, and maybe try to insulate the live well and use at least 1/2 of it for a cooler.

Ryan, I had to get some brass from the factory ammo. I shot the new rifle Monday and got some brass which I processed and reloaded Wednesday night. I loaded four different bullet weights. I will let you know how they do. Thanks for asking.

Heard on the news this morning that some out your way got 22" of snow. Did you end up with that much Ryan?

Hello everyone!!! Been a long time since I have posted anything. Although I have been following. Things have been crazy busy lately. I leave for Ithaca NY on Friday. We will be spending Saturday night In Michigan, Sunday and Monday night at Niagara Falls ( so I can take 200 or more pictures to make up for the ones I lost last fall), then off to Ithaca to get my friends daughter from Cornell University. The campus itself is so majestic. Going to miss the swingers club in Cleveland this trip though. LOL We really need to plan a Chickenbuck weekend.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Boat project is moving slow, can't find a darn motor for it out here. I'm looking for a 15-20ish HP tiller and I can find lots in the 2-6 hp range, but absolutely nothing close to what I want. as far as I know the closest one is in bozeman mt! I'll try to do a little looking in lakes country when I go to help grandma at the end of this month, wrong time of year to be buying one though I know that.

Ryan-what are you looking for in a motor? Short shaft or long shaft? Make? Vintage? It's a tough time to find a motor right now, as lots of stuff probably traded hands right before the opener, but I'll keep my eyes open for you and keep you posted.

I'm pretty sure I need a short shaft, but I guess a long would work? maybe? don't care about the make, prefer something 1990 or newer, although 80's wouldn't be bad. been looking on craigslist in fargo, will continue to do so until I leave. my Uncle has a 9.9 I can buy from him, but I'm wanting something a little bigger if possible.
