I picked up an earlier Mark X Mauser last week and it is equipped with a notched cocking piece (along with a two stage military type trigger, albeit also has a side safety). Anyone know where I could get a drop-in flat bottomed cocking piece? The usual suspects-Brownells, Numrich, Midway, etc. don't have such.

I'd like to set this one up just like my other Mark X.

I would shoot a PM to Jim Kobe (jkobe) and see if he can help. By the way, we are neighbors.

My other , later produced Mark X has a flat cocking piece.

Anyway, a Timney trigger works fine...
