All this boat restoration/modification stuff got me motivated to finally convert a stand-up freezer I got for free into something a little more, eh, useful, for the shop.....

A drill, a keg, a tap, an old hockey stick shaft, and a puck.

Here is another place to look that will be on your way to grandma's house Ryan. Looks like he's got a 20 for under a grand.

*Edit* Never mind. I just looked at the Buschmeisters add. That's a heck of a deal!

It is a freezer. You buy a digital external temperature control that uses a probe inside to allow the freezer to only cycle enough to keep it whatever temp you want. I have been keeping it at 39 degrees, and, since it is insulated like a freezer (better than a fridge) it barely has to cycle to stay cold unless I open the door.

The freezer was free from a neighbor, and the thermostat was about 80 bucks. Not too bad of a deal, and it's better than converting a chest freezer, as I don't have to lift full kegs in and out over a wall three feet high.

She plays on an AAU basketball team out of Fargo. most trips are to the cities. Its a fun, fast paced, high intensity & impact league that gets all around attention from scouts and so on. Alot of great players in this league makes it really fun to watch. PLays teams from wisconsin, ND, SD, Manitoba, Iowa so far. Was supposed to be going to South Dakota this weekend to play but that got canceled and they were going ot send us to Omaha, but we got into one in Mpls instead. Got a call before lunch today and another team recruited her to play tomorrow night in Bloomington and then saturday evening and sunday will be her regular team playing in Maple grove. Its very similar to what they call CheckBook Hockey from what i am finding out. Hey T, I'll be down that way tomorrow now!

Buschy-we had a daughter playing fastpitch and did that traveling grind. Lots of windshield time, but they get seen by lots of people that can lead to scholarships down the road. Are you still in town on Sunday? Maybe I could come up for a quick meet and greet and watch a game or two? Maybe I can match up with Tom. (Don't listen to what the SWAT boys say-he's totally safe in public.)

forecasters can't get anything right smile

Hey Dave, you do much aluminum welding? I'm thinking of doing the frame for my deck on the boat project. I have a friends millermatic 130XP, it's set for steel, would it work with aluminum?
