The day I add power knee feed to my mill is the day I quit and sell everything i own tool wise, Sorry I've been cranking that damn handle for years and it's funny when I had a production job going I hired my older brother to come do the grunt work he was cursing that crank everyday, it was like the worse part of his job. I told the rookie to deal with it. if he's looking for sympathy try the Gerstner cause I'm fresh out.

With me it's a point of pride

Crank either the X or Y with one hand, plunge the quill with the other. Just like running a manual surface grinder. You develop a rythm...

I did not know when I bought a Bridgeport last month, that I was joining a creepy cult.

Yes you are, but the funny thing is there are better machines out there but the Bridgeport name is gold.
In truth I'd trade my 1976 J2 head Bridgeport for a Lagun or a Gorton in equal condition. Dove tail slides are a bitch to rebuild, Lagun has box ways, stronger and easier to rebuild

Wells-Index and Tree manual mills were pretty stout compared to a BP as well and some of them used box ways too. And because they don't carry the BP panache, you can usually get more machine for less outlay.

Isn't there supposed to be a pin that needs to be pulled in order to rotate the head past 25*? Got a pic of it's location?

It's on the left side of the head where the mount flange is. Knurled knob you pull out.

Mill move got postponed. . . .

Granted, I'm not standing in front of the mill . . .

I'm guessing that the pin is this http://www.icai-online.com/stop-pin.html

Poor pics, but I'm guessing that the pin is in the area circled.

I got a ways cover package:

I milled out a piece of steel 1" square tube and a piece of wood to mount behind the knee.

But I can't see how to mount a ways cover in the front of the knee.

I used magnets salvaged from a computer hard drive to attach mine. Yes they attract chips, but I don't have to drill on the machine and the chips are out of the way.
