Jim Rector in La Grande Oregon or Ed La Pour in Bremerton Washington would be my two picks for that project. Should come in at about $250.00 all done and ready to come home. Just thought of another good one, JAck Huntington of JRH custom Guns in Grass Valley Calif. He did some of the work on my Delta Elite and my Len Brownell 7mm Mashburn Super. I was more than pleased in both cases. Jim Rector did the barrel replacing and bluing on my benchrest 223 with a CM Lilja Barrel and it turned out wonderfully. He does a lot of work for Ross Seyfreid and that says a lot for him, as well.
Good luck!

BTW, Jack Huntingtons / JRH custom guns website is: http://www.jrhgunmaker.com/He tells me that my 7mm Mashburn Super re chamber project went well and that the engraver did a nice job. JAck was one of fairly few gunsmiths who were willing to take on re chambering this rifle with its full length octagon barrel plus full length integral, machined on with the barrel rib. He will be hot bluing the whole thing so that even the re engraved part looks nice and sending me that one up shortly, again with merely a bill in the box. Great guy to talk to as well. With the bill in the box, poor bastard.

This is the same Jack Huntington that did a ton of that work on the DE for near nothing, repairing a busted up from stupid hot loads pistol to a very high grade. He did so, because he bought the "pitiful me" story hook, line, and sinker, and then watched as that work was used to justify the inflated sale of the DE without all the backstory.
He feels like a fool, and like he was taken. This is the story that repeats itself with most everyone that gets involved with "Safariman" Mark Claiborne.
I think this thread may have epic potential.

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

From 01 May 2012... OH MY NO! I am going to build a glass box around it and charge people to look at it <G>
Don't expect this rifle to look this nice if you ever see it in person a year or two from now. Ridin on a Rokon is kinda hard on 'em.
Thanks for the nice compliment, now you know why the 257WBY is headin your way. I wish that I could have afforded to keep them both, but such is no longer how my life works. NO complaints however and I sure hope this or any other of my posts never sound like one. I never thought I would ever have a rifle this nice and to manage to obtain it now, while not able to work and pretty darned sick is just amazing. Can't make this stuff up...

And to think, this is but the first from the "keep forever pile" to be put up.

GunBroker has legal contracts, rules, and requires an FFL be involved (a real one, and not a C&R masquerading as one).

This makes me think of three letters...
an "O"
an "M"
and a "G"
specifically in that order.

I'm wondering what the odds are of getting a refund after the three day inspection period if you don't like what you get. 3 day inspect is included.

I guess this answers my question! He posted this yesterday about a pre 64 model 70. I want this rifle SO bad.... I am going to be looking at my cash flow really hard the next week or so as some of my incomes arrive in. If this is here in 7-10 days, and I receive what I am expecting this one will find a permanent home in Walla Walla.
I had one just like it and had to sell it when my Kidneys first went into total end stage renal failure and I miss it.

Anyone who follows this train wreck and still buys the rifle absolutely wants the petrified walrus cock(ing) he/she is going to get. Refunds will not be an option because, as we have seen before, the money will be long gone before the inspection period expires.

There should be a law against this crap. I pity the person that falls for this selling tactic. And you claim to: "LOVE God, LOVE your family, LOVE your country"
Don't mess with me, I'm too old to fight, too fat to run, so I going to have to kill you.
