I've got a set of Danner Canadians I want to send back to be recrafted. I plan on getting the Supreme Package at a cost of $230. It covers the following: replace liner, midsole, outsole, shank, heel counter, any broken hardware, damaged stitching, recondition clean & polish the leather, new laces insoles and return shipping.

Has anyone done this before? How would you rate their work and your experience?

I had a pair of Santiams recrafted. They tried to sell me this total package but I settled for the $115 package. They did an excellent job. I can't see spending $230 to repair $300 boots. If your liner is ruined, I would buy new boots before I repaired them.

I sent a pair of "predators" as they were known 20 years or so ago for new soles, hardware and conditioning and they came back looking very nice. I don't remember which package it was. They came back pretty quickly too.

I had some boots done with the Supreme package in 2012. Both the workmanship and customer service were excellent. When the boots were ready to ship, they emailed me pictures of my boots before and after.

I remember looking carefully at the cost of recrafting vs. buyiing new boots, though time has dimmed my memory as to the exact figures. I factored in that I would have a "new" pair of broken-in boots.

I am so pleased that I am going to send in another pair of Danners.

I have a set of Rain Forest boots that I wear for work that I just got back last week. I really jacked them up and they did do an excellent job. I really love the boots and for less than half of what I paid for the boots initially ($370) I essentially got a new pair.
