Parents should never have to endure such. The pain will lessen, but the memories will live forever.

The deepest sorrow possible. We lost our oldest son in November and still feel the pain. Have faith, life does go on. Remember only the good times. You and your family have our deepest condolences.

My prayers are with you as we just went through that last Holiday Season with the wife's nephew as he was killed in an auto accident coming home for the holidays with his fiance from college.

It's never a good thing when they die so young and have so much to live for. The only condolence is the God Lord called him home for a higher calling.

Darn. Darn darn darn!

Mom and dad, no parent should ever have to bury their child--it's just not how it's supposed to be. I'm real sorry for the loss of your boy. Truly.

And by the way, this is a GREAT pic. That's a good boy, right there:

He is too young. My heart goes out to you and your wife. I remember the day my uncle passed when he was 51 and I saw my grandmother. She was beside herself with grief. She had lost two husbands and many others close to her. She told me none of the people she lost hurt as much as losing her child. That conversation stuck with me. Some years later my wife and I lost our twin boys which were a still birth. It's not the same as what you are going through, you have many more memories to sort through. I remember how painful it was for us and I never got to know them. Time has made it better, but I still have times it bothers me. Be patient with those around you. They will try to do and say things to ease your grief and sometimes hurt your feelings without realizing what they have done. Although we have never met, I will be thinking about you and your family.

I haven't words, but the following poem has always appealed to me. May something bring some comfort.

"Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ."
Henry Scott Holland

No words can express my sorrow for your loss. A parent should NEVER outlive their children. It's something that I worry about all the time as a father.

Peace be with you and yours.
