What's the best hunting porro binos? How do they compare in size, clarity, etc

I'm close to pulling the trigger one one of these.

I do not know the vortex Raptors, but I do know the Minox Porros.

I use the 10x44s as my guiding binos in AK.

We had a thread on them earlier .

Bottom line - great product. Discontinued, too. Surprised?

I would consider the Minox full size. About the size of a roof 8x42 turned sideways.

I'm surprised more members don't have one of the binos?

cooperfan,

If the Minox is the porro I tried, I didn't keep it. When I compared it with my 7-15X35 Nikon it was slightely better, but not enough to warent retiring the Nikon.

When I tried the 6.5X32 Raptor the Nikon was retired to the pickup and the chest strap from it was installed on the Raptor.

I received my Raptors today and all I can say is the reviews were spot on. These are really nice binos for the money. The size is exactly what I was looking for and the optics are very clear. They seem to be very easy on the eyes. I even like the soft case that comes with them. Can't wait to try them turkey hunting in a couple weeks.
