We all had a great hunt. Spot, Stalk & recovery. Son inlaw, Grandson, and myself. My Son inlaw spotted this guy bedded next to some brush @ 645yds from the top of the ridge in the center of the first picture. He said "he looks OK, lets walk over and get a closer look". After crossing two drainages and up the far side of the third, we took a little break, then all three slithered up to look over the top. My Grandson with my Binos, Son inlaw with the range finder, and myself with the 308. As we peeked over the rim the buck stood up, took a few steps up on a small flat, BROADSIDE, and was looking away from us. The last thing I heard was..153 yards somke him. The fun part was over.

Looked like cool country. Thanks Sam...We have a great time mule deer hunting. We were up off of 191 just a little north of Malta. We looked before the season opened. Saw a few fair bucks, a lot of spikes, some doe not alot, no whitetail, and zero Antlope. That is a Dandy of a buck you have there Sam, Very Nice...Someday, but then I would have to pass up a few deer

Great stuff - it's really cool when you can put a hunt on something and it turns out mostly the way you had it planned....
