Trump is a really, really bad deal. I don't need to explain any further. Those that aren't smitten with him know it already and those that are will find out.

1) this won't be your last comment on him.
2) the alternative is Hitlery.

That's not much of an alternative. That bitch is elected we're screwed, Trump will be light years better.

Cruz to SCOTUS by agreement with Trump is better that HRC.

I do not disagree

But Cruz has soiled himself badly in the last few weeks.
Posted By: bigwhoop Re: My Last Comment on Trump. - 03/16/16
Well I presume "lt" will keep his promise, so that is comforting. We can then move on to the phase two discussion, whereby the GOP/RNC blows up their party by trying to unseat Trump by whatever means appear legal.
I'm not swearing off politics, just gonna waste my time anymore with the infirm.
I wonder if we wouldn't be better off with Bernie while saving the House/Senate and not losing it in the next cycle. Trump offers us a very good chance to lose clout, while Bernie lacks the clout to be too dangerous. (Not sure about that last part; kind of throwing that out as a point of inquiry.)

That's not a bad out.

"Bob, (who supports a certain unnamed POS who would be a horrible choice for a President), says blah blah blah."

"Bob, (that guy who supports an unnamed lying, closet Democrat who has numerous sexual scandals and who fellated a hermaprodite), said yada yada yada..."

I'd say that was sneaky enough for you to be a lawyer but I respect you too much to throw out an insult like that... wink

So, Bob supports an unnamed lying closet Democrat, Bob has numerous sexual scandals and Bob fellated a hermaphrodite?

Bernie's done. Cruz is done. Your choice is Trump or Hillary.

Choose.
Cruz is still the man.

Many believe the choice of Trump is also the choice of Hillary.

At this point, I would vote for Trump if he is the nominee, but that vote would be Trumps to lose.

That's funny! laugh
ltppowell: I see you still have your head on ass-backwards!
Trump IS not and has NEVER been my first choice for President of The United States come January 2,017!
BUT... if, he becomes the nominee of the Republican Party I will work my ass off for him and that includes, donating to his campaign, working in his campaign, trying to convince my neighbors, friends and relatives to vote for him and I will VOTE for him!
The alternative is "the hildabeast" - try and wrap your warped mind around that bitch nominating more bull dagger liberals to the Supreme Court!
That fact alone should sober you up or bring YOU back to your senses what ever your problem is.
Sounds to me like YOU are gonna sit on your lazy ass and whine!
I learned long ago and repeatedly over the last 5 decades, the worst thing you can bring to a fight/war is someone who is NOT committed to the fight and just sits around whining, back stabbing and complaining.
These types (you!) are useless to the cause!
You should be jumping at the chance to get 75%+ of what you want from a President (like with Trump!) as opposed to not getting ANYTHING you want from "the hildabeast", should she win the Presidency.
IF... Donald Trump should lose come November then the pansy assed intellectual idiots running the RNC and the U.S. House and Senate WILL HAVE BEEN SENT A MESSAGE!
Would they not?
That message being, get off your wimpy asses and fight the demonrat socialists sons of bitches and daughters of whores AT EVERY TURN, or, they will be replaced!
Mark my words on that point.
That would be worth something.
Sheesh.
Hold into the wind

I'm an accountant. 673 does not equal 1237. It's not over yet.

Neither does Cruz's 406.

With 29 states accounted for, and only 21 remaining, including a lot of the north east...it's over.

Cruz may keep Trump from 1237, but he does not over take Trump's lead in total delegate count.

We'll there is one good thing about a Trump nomination. There will be a moment when he turns to Hillary on the debate stage and calls her a malignant c^nt, then immediately denies saying it.

Illustrate the path for Cruz's 406 to get to 1237 while factoring in Trump's 673 and anticipated results.

Agreed.......I'd say it's Cruz that's a "bad deal" but Trump is far far worse....

He needs to win something like 112% of the remaining delegates....duh. Since we're talking about American politics it's still possible.
I saw the math last night and I believe that they said if Trump continued to garner the 47% like he's been averaging he'd get exactly 1237.
Posted By: davet Re: My Last Comment on Trump. - 03/16/16
Of the remaining 21 states, 10 are winner take all. Trump will win quite a few of those, leaving the other two in a deeper hole. NY, NJ, CT, RI, and PA are states where it is going to be hard to beat Trump

He'd gain thousands of supporters if he did that and I hope he does.
I agree, I'm not smitten with Trump and I don't feel good about him being our Prez.

but he'd be light years ahead of Hilary, of this I have lil doubt, unless he really does muck things up

and if you want the cold hard truth, we're not going to fix what ails our nation without some pain involved.

even if a guy gets in and tries to do the right thing, it's gonna feel wrong for quite some time.

you don't cut your weight without missing some of your fave foods

you don't cut your budget without getting rid of some things that others see as essential
with that said, I don't like Trump's odds of winning

we've already got the FSA to battle against

and now we're a house divided amongst ourselves.

so HRC is most likely our next prez. Believe I'll go puke now at the realization that, that traitorous bitch will hold the highest office in our land.
Maybe she caught HIV from Bill and won't make it

Cruz needs almost 80%. The closest competition needs 60%.

As the Russian guy says, "only in America". The last time I did the Math, Trump was at about 44% and that was before Super Duper Tuesday was factored in. So it wouldn't surprise me if that was right. The eGOP will have to cheat heavily in order to beat Trump out of an outright win.
There are 1057 delegates outstanding. Cruz needs 826 to win outright. It is doable.

==================

You must be kidding.

To believe Kasich and Trump will only get 225 delegates between them from here on out is a win the PowerBall twice in a row type of wishing.

-----------

Let me say 70% yes to 1237. Over 80% yes to within 60 of 1237 and 98% yes to within 100.

It's not like playing a game of hand grenades, where "close" wins the pot.

Win or lose, I'm happy knowing I voted for the best man...Cruz. When America sucks more, I'll know it wasn't my fault.

No. Party hacks get to throw their weight in a brokered convention.

The only one that wants a brokered convention is Kasich.

Semantics. Once the voters have been disregarded, it becomes a matter of backroom deals among party hacks. The floor vote is merely the part the public sees.
