Practice runs are for puzzies. LOL

I never did practice runs. I should do a video the next time I paint something up. The first time it feels kind of dicey, but then you realize just how easy it is, and want to paint up everything in sight.....lol

Folks should do what they like.
I own 0 camo guns.

Blue and wood is tops for esthetics.

Ones I've painted are black.
Did go crazy and paint the swivels and trigger guard OD Green.

Yeah, pretty boring!

Never understood the need to paint a gun camo except maybe a turkey hunting shotgun. I prefer a nice looking gun

Flat black and let dry completely.
Blue painters tape, torn and layered to make stripes.
Paint it green. Hit w tan on stripes so when tape removed there's max contrast.

Tape patterns will give some topography (when tape removed) so you don't want to put a lot of paint on.

Use matte clear to protect paintjob. Does add some sheen but still not shiny.

Smaller patterns and or more colors tend to busy things up.

Part of a good paintjob is knowing when to stop.
