My great grandpa in the middle around 1900 in Upper Micihigan or northern Wisconsin. Before he left in the fall he left a dollar for his wife in case she needed it for something. In the spring when he came back she still had the dollars. I don't know where I went wrong.[Linked Image]

Hunters in 1944 check in a deer at a check station. Today, check stations are a thing of
the past, as all Oklahoma deer hunters must use the Internet to check in their harvested
game. Photo Provided by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation

A few from Gila River, AZ 'Internment camp' during WWII, and a couple others of my aunt's beau and friends before he headed off to war with the 442nd RCT. He was killed in action in Italy. A pic or two after the war too. Neat thread.

what a great thread!

I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.
