Not all that old by some standards, but old school build. MM Love the old school builds. I had a Commander build similar with a hard-chromed frame. Sold it to Mickey Coleman and I hope he got some enjoyment out of it.

I want a 1917 in the worse possible way. They are fun. I've been looking for a Colt 1917 for a long time off and on. My uncle had one that was in great shape, but by the time I realized they were more fun to shoot than a 1911, he had traded it off.

So for the guys who have original 1911's and 1911A1's - do you have a hollowpoint load that works in an unmodified gun?
My Sistema pictured above shoots fine with ball, but wants nothing to do with any hollowpoint load I've tried. No intent to use it for serious defense, but it might be used on critters. Try Remington golden Sabres

My one and only sort of "old school" 45 ACP is this M25-2. I only shoot 250 gr Keith SWC (Lyman 429421) in 45 AR brass in it and it is wonderfully accurate. Not to be a nit picker but I believe the Lyman 429421 is a 44 caliber mold?
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

1917 was a very good year.
