Found some 4320 and went all in.
Give me your best loads for .308 , 30-06, and 243 if anybody has used 4320 for them…
As a side note, at Cableas yesterday they has a keg of H4350 and a keg of Varget. 200.00 each!! No thanks...

Never understood why 4320 is not more popular. Burn rate is such that it has wide application.
I have a 243 FWT that won't shot anything very well except some old 100gr Solid Bases with 4320...and it loves that combo.

I have a 7x57 that would not shoot a Barnes bullet at all with several powders tried, but it shoots the 140 gr TSX with IMR 4320. Sorry, hope I did not hijack this thread.

I don't get it. 25 bucks a pound for H4350 or Varget is too expensive?? It is less than buying over the net and paying shipping and hazmat.
That said 4320 works fine in my 308 but I have not used it in the 06 or 243.

I would have to dig out my load book for the load but I know my .243 really likes IMR4320 with 62gr varmint grenades. I have yet to try it with any of the 80+ grain bullets though.

It's my go to for 150's in 308 and 30-06. I've used it with 180's in the -06 also but generally go to IMR4831. It sure meters nice.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor
