Ive always preferred 700s for some unknown reason, but the more I shoot the Sevens, the better Im liking them...

I agree, even though Big Stick detests them for some reason. If I could understand Alaskan bush language, maybe I'd know why... blush

They're very compact and efficient actions and seem to shoot about as well as a 700 when set up correctly.

IMO, the biggest drawback with the Model Seven is the factory stocks. good stocks make them shine.

Yeah...Ive got a Seven Predator and that stock had to go....got a B&C Alaskan for it, but it was too 'chubby' so I miked a Ti and tried to dupe it...feels much better now!

I bought a Seven Predator Mossy Oak Camo in 204 Ruger when they first came out. I couldn't get it to shoot. It went down the road. I blamed the stock, but wasn't going to mess with all that camo.
