Got a photo from my dad this morning. It seems he stepped out just after daylight to let the dog do his business and there was this boar standing out in the field about 200 yards away.

The handiest loaded rifle was an old 7mm-08 788 carbine by the door and the magazine only had two rounds in it. The 120gr Fusion did the job and he made a short sprint over the side of a creekbed a few yards away. Dad grabbed an AR when he went down to check and see if the critter was maybe still kicking down there in the creek. I can't blame him. grin

Scooped him up with the front loader of the Kubota and hauled him off for coyote bait. This is the second lone boar he's shot from the porch of his house over the last year or so.
