I've never used the Hornady managed recoil, but I bought the Remington for my son to shoot when he was too small to handle the full loads in 30 06. We had excellent results. They were a 120 grain bullet. He took 6 deer. One was a 240 lb whitetail . I would expect Hornady to be as good or better.
