I've shot deer with this bullet started anywhere from 2600 fps to 3175 fps. Only had one come apart. I had one break up on the shoulder of a large doe who was 50ish yards uphill from me when started at 3050fps. Both large pieces exited. The deer fell over. I guess it worked.
Oh, I never found one in the deer either.
