I have pulled a lot of calves with chains, baler twine, lass ropes. Come-a-longs, 4 wheelers, saddlehorses and even a bonafied cal puller lol. Worst one I ever pulled was on the side of a mountain. This other fool and I were checking cows. We spied this old girl, she was a little sick, got up close to her and saw one front foot sticking out. So we roped her and turf her so we could work on her. Calf was dead and pretty ripe. Took it out in pieces with a pocket knife, pigging string and our hands. Damn sure didn't attach your nose or take a dip of snuff till we got back to camp lol.
