My hunting partner and I just returned from our successful antelope hunt in WY. We drew unit 52-1 tags. The animals we took far exceeded my expectations. My bud had the 1st shot opportunity as he had never hunted antelope before. We/he turned down the antelope I eventually shot. We were pleasantly surprised by the mass my buck had. My buck green scores 82 ¼ and his goat scores 79 3/8.

For the required gun report, my buddy shot his with a Browning A-Bolt .300 Win Mag shooting factory 165 gr. Federal Fusion at the range of 71 yds. I was using my Remington 700 custom .338 Win Mag with 180 BT’s around 3100 FPS. at a range of 111 yds. Ironically we spent half a morning resighting in our scopes at our customary 100 yd. zero to 1” high at 200 yds. All that for shots that are the norm for us back home in Carolina. Just goes to show you if you actually hunt, you don’t need to be a sniper with all the turrets and charts to shoot an animal, just saying. wink
