Just a quick update on the Cabela's XPG Trekking pants that I mentioned earlier in this thread. I wore them on a deer bow hunt this past weekend in the Kiamiachi Mountains in Southeastern OK. They actually performed better than I expected. I encountered numerous briar patches and even got hung up in a couple of blackberry bushes and the pants came out without a blemish. Temps ranged from the 50's to the low 80's, I was never uncomfortable. I did a lot of climbing and the stretchy fabric and articulated knees worked perfectly. Great pants for early to mid-season hunts and, with a good base layer, I think you could probably use even later in the season.
