Though I really prefer a longer barrel for a dedicated hunting gun, a 4" Model 29 packs easy and can do quite nicely when called upon.
I was on a motorcycle trip when these pics were taken, and the 4" 29 works pretty well for that role.
For post 6,000 it only seems appropriate that a .44 magnum be chosen.
This guy was only "shot" with the camera. Strictly a practice stalk, and "counting coup".
