My best friend and longtime hunting partner had a Canadian moose hunt booked. I had worked up a load for his 06 with 180 Partitions. We went out to shoot it right before he left and the rear base screw had stripped out and he didn't have another rifle to take.
I loaned him my new SS700 Mountain Rifle in 280 loaded with 150 Partitions. He got back in town last night and reported 2 complete pass throughs on a 275 yard shot, the bull traveled about 40 yards.
The best part is I got a moose backstrap out of the deal and had some for supper last night. I could get really used to eating moose
The bad part is he wants to buy the rifle
