These solders have been in the field for five days. (and as of these photos have not been inside to clean up yet)They have been living in tents and eating MRE’s. During that time they have been tested in the field on Tactical Combat Casualty care, Medical and Casualty evacuation skills, Warrior skills, and Communications tasks, while under fire. They must complete a 12 mile road march with field gear in less than three hours and pass a land navigation course. There is also a written test. Out of a starting group of 278 candidates 78 earned the Expert Field Medical Badge.
