I know this an old thread, but with cabin fever coming soon thoughts about trout fishing are rising again. I may be cheap, but I have an Eagle Claw trailmaster 4pc. fly/spin combo 7'6" that I really like. It comes with a small padded case 24" long and weighs next to nothing, very light action. My son used it for 2 seasons up in the Never Summer Range and he can be hard on rods. I used it in the flattops on an elk hunt and it works well and is tough.
