Several years ago when I was bow hunting a lot, I'd shoot all summer at peak weight and drop the weight back down a bit just before the season.

I'd see archers at the range as they strain to get the first few arrows drawn on 3D night.
Once they're warmed up, they were fine. Huh, I'm not the only one.

So I started shooting One arrow, on my off days.
If I can't draw smoothly and place that One arrow, Cold, the draw weight is too high for me.
