Congrats on the find Dave. As long as you don't put faux mother of pearl stocks on it you can't cancel out the kick-azzness that thing's rockin'. And NO, pink laminate "save the ta-tas" stocks would look just as wrong.
Nickel 29's always remind me of Robert Peterson's Polar Bear he killed with a 6.5" nickel Pre-29. I was about seven when I first saw that photo, and it looks a bad-azz today as it did back then.
You with a pile of gophers probably won't have quite the same effect, but I'll still look.
