Actually, I bought him a .32cal Squirrel gun years ago when he was reading the Gary Paulson Tucket books. Sad to say, we have yet to shoot it.
Now that we live in Nevada, with a youth mule deer tag, he can hunt with bow, black powder, or any weapon with one tag according to the season. So, looking for a mule deer muzzle loader. Was thinking .45cal but it doesn't look like they are nearly as popular as they were 10-15 years ago; no sign of a youth model looking on the web.
