Might pick up a bolt rifle that was a 25/06. What would be your pick to rebarrel it in something a little bigger? Mostly just Whitetail deer and possibly Elk up to about 400 yards.
I was thinking maybe 280AI. I know 270 and 30/06, 6mm/06,338/06 are possibilities. I was just wondering if I missed any possibilities and what might be the best choice. I already have enough 270's and my largest rifle is a 7mm rem mag but it is old and mostly a loaner.
