OP Jim in Idaho Campfire Ranger Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 28,379 Idaho, USA	Hopefully the Henry blued single shot rifles will be hitting stores soon. I see they've updated their website with more information about them, specifically twist rates which were always somewhat of a mystery not only to potential buyers but also to those folks at Henry who answered emails. They got it right on the .44 Mag but seemed to have wimped out a bit on the .223, although they aren't too bad. .44 is 1:20. .223/5.56 NATO is 1:9. .243 is 1:10 (huh?) .308 is 1:10 .45/70 is 1:20 - don't know much about 45/70's so don't know if that's good or not. Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
