This photo shows my Glenfield model 30GT which was bought new in 1979. It has put a lot of meat on our table over the years. I loaned it to my young friend and he toppled this huge doe firing just one shot at approx 85 yards or so. The Glenfield line of models by Marlin were sold a little cheaper than "regular" Marlins due to birch stocks and minor production shortcuts. But they're quite accurate and reasonably priced on the used market.
