This dude was one of the toughest birds I ever had a part in hunting. He eluded our kill zone on three separate occasions. I didn't move the decoys or the blind, I just changed location of the shooter and called from the same location. Sounds odd but it got the old tom in striking distance of the 870.

10.3 inch beard. Spurs were worn down pretty hard. Extremely colorful bird.

This was my best season yet. I called in shootable birds for all 4 hunters I took out this year. I do it for the fun of it. Getting up at 4am gets a little tiring but I always make it out. It is nice to be able to get friends and family in front of birds that you convince to come in. The thrill of hearing those gobbles getting closer and closer and the smiles coming from bagging one is hard to beat.
