I inherited my late uncles 22 magnum Marlin 57M. Gawd aweful ugly lever action if I ever saw one. But, she's now my baby and she can shoot. And I got now a 22 Magnum. I am stoked! I was using a few 20 year old boxes of plain copper plated cheap stuff just shooting pine cones and cans. Fine for that use. I have never bought 22 Magnum ammo. For the plinking, squirrel shooting that will be fine, but I wanna have a 100 yard coyote gun as well. What's the goods on these jacketed bullets? They didn't have them when I was a kid in the 80's. Are they worth it? I saw some Fiocchi JSP for $10. I won't pay $17 for 22 ammo. What's a good "economy" jacketed 22 Magnum? Hunting accuracy. Don't need to shoot 1 hole groups at 100 yards. And, this gun does not have a serial number. No number what so ever. Not ground away, just doesn't have one.
